Hello-- I am new to the latest versions of VS. I haven't done much programming since C# first came out and it looks like there are tons of new stuff.
When installing the protal.
During the loading of the project it tries to connect to tfs.codexplex.com.

What do I need to know about this? What is it? Do I need an account somewhere? Why is it needed? What is the purpose?

Second question:

I have SQL and VS Express on the machine I am trying to install the Portal on. So the readme file says to Change the connection strings inside the UnityCfg.xml file.

I'm guessing that means edit:

<instance name="connectionString" type="string"
          value="Data Source=localhost;Integrated Security=True;Initial Catalog=Portal; MultipleActiveResultSets=True" />
so i'm not sure what edits to make to connect to the local database I created.

I changed the data source to localhost.

Last issue:

When I compile and run the project I get a runtime error:

at line: section.Configure(Container); in the Global.asax.cs file
  • $exception {"The type name or alias PortalSecurityDbContext could not be resolved. Please check your configuration file and verify this type name."} System.Exception {System.InvalidOperationException}
I believe this is because I don't have the connection string correct.

Thank you.
